Thread: Rwd screamer pipe on fwd

if the 02 housing with external dump for the waste gate(screamer pipe) is for a rwd sr20det it would be setup for the skinny 02 sensor. The usdm is sensor is a different size. You may need to have the correct size welded bung on. Also make sure if you removed the 02 sensor off your car to check that the bung did not come off with the 02 sensor. This happens and would make the usdm sensor not fit if the correct bug is welded on the 02 housing you bought.

That's nice to know and that's what I thought. I wonder if I could get me a universal one and wire it in? Maybe if would be easier than trying to source a jdm one?

Thanks for clearing that up and also that didn't happen the bung is still on the original header it's just to big for the rwd screamer pipe like u said.

ok, now, correct me if im wrong but, isn't that normally referred to as a divorced o2 housing aka j-pipe? so ya the o2 sensor would screw into the big pipe, if the bungs not the right size then you'll need to take it off an have a proper size one welded on, they are cheap online..

can someone answer my questions though? would having a open screamer cause the wideband to read the afr any different then if the wastegate was plumbed back into the downpipe before the wideband?
