3rd gear is officially gone on t25
Afetr 150k on the DE of beating on the trans and another 15k on the T25 at 12psi the transmission finally took a dump. Nice day out rowing through the gears 1sr 2nd 3rd...GRkkrRKRKRrkkrk lol.

I was able to get it back home 5 miles away and park it in my garage. I wasnt one of the lucky ones though, all of the other gears were affected too accompanied by the sweet melody of free floating metal shards . When I parked it all I had left was 4th 5th and reverse lol (1st and 2nd will not engage). Atleast I have a mostly working VE swapped E model to drive around with no interior and a spidered windshield

So another b15 tranny install begins this week. If i get around to it I'll take some pictures of the 200whp transmission destruction and get some pics of the new tranny swap woot woot. Place down he road from me has two b15 lsd transmissions for $695

Deng David. Atleast you have another tranny lined up. How hard do you shift from 2nd to 3rd?What boost level?

Kind of a hard shift at 12 psi.

Do most of the transmissions break shifting INTO a gear or do most break when you're already in gear?

I would imagine that shearing gears normally happens while shifting into them, not when you're already in gear. I haven't personally seen it happen though, so I wouldn't know for sure.

I sheered 3rd in a P11 trans pushing 25psi on my 60-1 T4. I was in gear rolled into the throttle just heard a grinding noise and wouldnt go anywhere....... That trans wasent right since i put it in though, sounded like bearings were fak'd.

I would imagine it happens when you start to engage the clutch or while it's already in gear under big throttle haha

I was in gear letting out the clutch when mine blew up.
