MSD on b14
Okay guys so i am installing a digital MSD on the black widow i was going to do the Jim wolf route and convert current dizzy to external but i couldn't find a power tower turns out MSD doesn't make the power tower anymore so I'm shit outta luck so now i am forced to use a b13 Dizzy which was preference to me at first.

I searched for a thread on how to wire b13 dizzy into b14 harness but no luck, i have wired VE dizzy in b13 harness that was easy.

so my question is does anyone have some pictures or know of a write up?

You can run your msd digital box with the b14 distributor, you just have to modify it so you can use its internal coil. The coil on the b14 distributors are pretty good compared to aftermarket ones and will work great. That's what I did on my old setup. I still have the b14 distributor already modified to use an msd box if you're interested.

I know how to this mod that isn't what I'm looking for we want to use a real good coil not stock.

The stock coil in my opinion works just as good if not better than some aftermarket coils. What are your power goals?

You might have other issues causing your weak spark because I've made close to 520 on stock distributor, bkr7e plugs gapped at .027 or so, and digital 6al box with no bogging or breaking out. I was running 110octane and about 15degree timing. As for 600hp tho I'm not sure how the stock coil will do. Will you be running a standalone? I have ecu pin outs for the b13 and b14 that i could send you but I don't think it'll be very helpful in wiring the distributor. I believe one of those distributors uses more wires than the other.

I'm running MSD on my B14. No tach adapter though, which means I have to unhook it for OBD2 testing every year.

The stock B14 coils are awesome. I could see you getting 600hp from them pushed to the limits. Perhaps even more with a higher voltage input.
