Log Manifold w/3'' DP vs EQL w/2.5'' DP
So I got an old EQL Protech Manifold to replace my Protech Log manifold. I have a 3'' downpipe with my log mani and I was mocking up the EQL a couple of days ago and it seems that fitting a 3'' downpipe with the EQL is unlikely or atleast with my intercooler setup it is.

The main reason I got the EQL is for the better flow characteristics of it but putting a 2.5'' DP on it seems to me like a step backwards.

I'm contemplating putting my log back on, getting a bigger turbo and call it a day.

What do you guys think?

keep the eql and do a stepped down pipe.

Yesss keep th EQL just us use the 2.5 elbow and then 3in you will gain minimum 40whp at same psi over the log

Log's are horrible for flow. The gains of 2.5" vs 3.0" are very negligible compared to the gains of EQ over the log.

Plus look at the your turbine housing, it's not like it starts out at 3" right of way anyway. Usually they funnel from 1-2" to 2.5-3".

Thanks guys, you convinced me. I'll keep the EQL.

I didn't want to create a thread about just this and I did search, I did find threads about the EQL vs LOG dilema and threads about the 2.5'' DP vs 3" DP dilema. But none about this particular case.

These guys sell a few different types of reducers/transitions that work great in tight spots...good quality too.
