Thread: Help verify GT2871r

I need help verifying if the specs are correct, I didnt want to lug the whole turbo into work to get it measured so I just brough in the compressor housing. Inner diameter measures out to ~54mm and outter measures out to 3"



Plate is missing, but was told its a 446179-32 CHRA by Garrett from the seller. Spins freely like a BB should, I think ive seen an instance here where plates were missing during the CHRA exchange process. Could this be the case?



Are there any other tell tale signs to look for? Turbine housing has a .86 stamp. Coolant fitting threads in easily.

measure the compressor wheel. should be 71mm major.

Alright, everything looks promising. ~71mm exducer ~53.1mm inducer and 53.7xmm turbine.

Se-r 4ME: where are you at? Ive been on a T28 for a while, looking to upgrade a little, you know, stay modest haha. Just moved out to SF from the east bay.

I live in SF too. I've been in SF for almost 3yrs now. I'm keeping it modest with a gt2871r for decent power with a lot of potential.
