What to do when in safe mode?
Alright, i installed my turbo and put in my maf and injectors and the whole shebang. Now its in safe mode. I gave it a tune up with colder plugs and whatnot, re grounded the maf, double checked ignition timing. Can someone set me up with some advice on what else to check? I gotta check the cam timing, but if that fails what else could i try?

What's your whole set up? Wrong ecu and maf pairing does all kinds of bad things. Also, define your 'safe mode'. Not to sound like an ass, I've just seen people use the terms limp mose or safe mode a lot but mean diffrent things.

The FSM says it is the MAF TPS or 02 not working or dead. The simple way to check is to pull each of them one at a time with the car off. See which one the doesn't make the car run worse. From my experience the car won't run if more two or more of those sensors don't work.

hope he doesnt mind me saying, he has a -t28/50lb/z32 mafs with calum ECU for 50lb injectors and z32 mafs, it doesnt seem like safe mode to me, the car just starts running rich around 3k and seems to start missing cause it is rich.

If what you are referring as "Safe Mode" is the same as what we call " Limp mode" your car wouldn't even go more than 3K rpms.

Unplug and reset the ecu, see if that helps any.

Thats funny, andy and I already thought it was a MAF, TPS, or O2 issue. We're gonna try messin with the MAF and O2 today. By resetting the ECU you mean take off the neg battery cable for 24 hours right?

I don't think it is 24 hours maybe like 20 minutes. It doesn't take that long for it to discharge. But if the car is really going into limp mode, the problem is one of the three sensors. Just try unplugging them one at a time, no need to mess with the voltmeter.

There are other problems that mimic limp mode, like the not revving over 3k could be a boost leak.
