ill check that. but why only in a certain presure range nd not all the time? i set the pressure at 45ish (with it surging), then release all the pressure in the system, and crank the key once, pump sounds fine. but if i do it a second time right after, thats when it starts doing it as if fuel is getting backed up.

all your injectors firing properly? what's the jwt programmed for? line possibly kinked somewhere, tank not vented properly?

i know for sure lines not kinked and injectors are fine also. ive checked and double checked the lines. will have to check the tank venting. where? how? there is a little "thing" on the drivers side by the tank, close to where the the rubber fuel lines meet the hard metal ones. it has very small lines coming to anf from it, attatched to the tank. what is it? check valve maybe?

I would do a leak down you might of bent some valves... you never know a lot of bent valve threads start with "first crank ran ok for 3-5 seconds, then shut off"

just pop the gas cap off and see if it changes anything. I had a problem a while back with mine. The vent was plugged coming up from the catch can and the tank would build pressure and puke out even without power to the fuel pump or anything.

You did mention that the wideband was reading super lean as well. Maybe you have your fpr set too low and the car is stumbling bad enough that the computer is changing the pulsewidth and that's creating the spike in the fuel pressure. Try toying with that and see if it will even out some. You do have to remember that your fpr is vacuum referenced as well, so changes in the amount of vacuum being referenced (ie. intake plenum) will translate to the fpr.

with the above swap, drove it today for few hours. this was my first swap, and ive been reading, but much of this is new to me...
I jus want to here some input on the numbers.

after warm idles just under 1k
afr (innovate mt -l) at idle is between 19-21
at 3k in 5th, afr is between 14.5-15.5
oil temp during my drive was around 180 F
oil pressure at idle 20, never went over 70 psi
engine temp around 180F
oil psi at idle is around 20
engine temp 180
vacuum at idle 12-14in hg

when changing gears and depressing clutch, there is a rubbing/humming sound. can feel it a lil thru the clutch pedal. nothing drastic or violent, but audible.
it's a spec stage 3 clutch kit from Gspec and fidanza fw.

other than that, everything is good.
thanks
