What ecu is it? b13? not sure about the differences but I know my stock p10 ecu only had table scaling to 6450, after that it just guessed on ignition timing and fuel mapping. Caused the engine to sputter and not make much power, almost like hitting a rev limiter.

Plug gap and manifold? Intake pipe size?

im gonna say plug gap was too big. A stock b13 ignition with a good flowing turbo setup can handle 550whp and 30psi of boost before you get ignition breakup with plugs gapped at .020, i know for a fact because I did it. Reving to 8k as well.

Again this can vary with setup. The more restrictive the setup the more likely to get ignition cutout as well as a/f ratio in boost. I tuned mine to 11.2-11.3:1 WOT and had no issues.

its a w10 ecu but we are using the avinier exhaust manifold flange for t3 we did change the plugs from 7,s to 8,s but did not check the gap on plugs, intake pipe size is 2.5

Default gap on ngk's is around .039, which at even 10 psi will blow out. Causes the car to sputter basically.
