.........With how much time (and cash) you spent under the car replacing a B13/B14 gearbox on a few ocassions, you could have just bought and dropped in a B15 box already

Time is money

Anything under 400hp I would have stayed with my P11 box. Looks like loads of fun. LOL Also why so much wheel hop issues? I don't think I have ever encountered wheel hop issues in any of my b13s

i dont know man, its crazy tho an i have replaced tons of bushings, bearings, axles, ball joints, struts both new an used, tires.. i am going to try replacing a few bushings i may have over looked as well as a progress front sway bar an see what happens...

lumpy had even worse wheel hop issues, it would start hopping close to the top of 3rd on his old tires and before the coilovers, now that it has coilovers it dont really hope anymore.. so i prob need coilovers hahaha

my stock 92 se-r doesnt wheel hop at all with both stock suspension and agx/eibachs which those agx are actually on my car now but with RM springs.. an i have driven others that didnt do it either.. so idk wtf man.. maybe i'll get some of them subframe collars an cross member bushing things while im at it..

all i know is this shit has plagued this car from day #1

this trans didnt break from wheel hop either, 3rd gear sheered off after a country road 3rd gear to redline pull passing an rv lol i went to 4th an slowed down an hit 5th to cruise, then had to make a sharp corner so blipped the throttle an grabbed 4th, blipped again an put it in 3rd and then bang boom kazoom shit was clackin an clanking an making all sorts of clatter.. i pulled over an stopped and with the clutch in there was no noise, but clutch released an it grumbled an pretty much did that the rest of the way to nates which was about a 1/4 mile lol but besides the noise 1-2-4-5-R worked fine lol

Neither have I.

I believe it's driver error.

I've had this talk with Josh in person. He does not find the argument compelling.

Re: Lynch's VE-T thread
When you drive hard things can break hard. Prepare accordingly. Josh, you must have a lot of B13/B14 trannies to break. Save up for that B15/P11 tranny and stop the breakage. You put all this effort, time & money into the engine & you're not giving equal attention to your drivetrain. You have a setup that you're going to swap N1 cams in for more power but the transmission will be beyond it's limit to support the power you are looking to get. I don't know about you but I would hate to swap out trannies & gearsets more than I have to. Great thread from day one, you've come a long way and we have enjoyed and been inspired by your journey. You should really think about upgrading your tranny at the least. There are good deals on B15/P11 trannies if you do your homework. That would be cheaper than a 6 speed setup.
