Keep in mind all that rich carbon build up is adding to your cylinders more and more the longer you wait...

You need a bigger turbo so you won't hit boost @3-4k then you can tune it for n/a :P

Mine is an RR indeed, so there is a difference. My DET did like more timing (from 38* to 40* had mpg increase), but seeing how @unijabnx2000 got great mpg with pretty low DET timing, I'm going to try less timing on the DET.

This is true, especially on a Subaru. But weirdly enough I did low comp motors do better with smaller turbos, faster spooling turbo makes up for the lost torque due to low compression, but you do have issues with going into boost.

Lol leng was just tellin me to get a bigger turbo too lol..

Well from 30-32 timing to 36-38 I didn't really get a change in mpg, first half tank or so was 118 miles an when I filled up I was on 242, it took 10.6 gallons, so roughly 22.8 mpg which was a good 80% hwy all pussy footing.. and really pussy footing any in town driving.. I only went to a few psi the few times I had to get up to hwy speed quickly to merge..

Maybe ill try timing in the mid 20s this time..

Oh another thing, my ECT only gets to 170-176, on the hwy its on the lower side. Not sure if maybe my tstat is going bad, I think it opens around 176 tho so maybe I need a warmer one for winter? I noticed you said you got better mpg with warmer ECT @Vadim maybe id benefit too?

Was that higher timing on the 5 speed?
The timing now is with the 6 speed.

Back when i had the 5spd, same timing, but only got around 25-26mpg.

I pull 18mpg if I drive like a jackass in my rb. if I drive like a normal person and try not to get into boost ill pull 22mpg.

Exactly. . Is 4mpg really worth not boosting? Haha
