It's not. John offers free installation in a customer supplied ECU.

It's free, just pay for shipping to ship your ECU there, return shipping is free

removing solder sucks if your using a popper and not a real vacumme setup. even with as much soldering as I do I would let john put the board in.

btw, you know anyone that can tune in the area? i msged track forged and they said it starts out at $450... srsly!

lol, thats about the average price man. My car spent about 6 or 7 hours on the dyno and I was just a bit more than that. Yeah my setup isnt anything simple but still thats about the going rate and I got a hookup on my dyno tuning price.

Yep $450 seems about right,my guy charges $400 and $100 retune after that

I do all my own tuning for the most part, but sometimes I do receive help from a friend online that's a tuner. But $450 is the Fully tuned price I believe, @sentraman paid about that price and his car was on the dyno for a total of 21 hours I think??

if it was 450 for a tune thats awesome. but starting out at 450. i dunno about that. esp since it's my daily and i have already 5kmiles on my current tune and i just need to fix AFRs. It bothers me how tuners are unsure how much time they will need to tune. (english racing guarantee's their work; flat tuning charge) should take more than 4hrs to adjust the tune on a car.
