So due to wastegate placement I'm unable to run a aftermarket radiator.. koyo, mishimotor or a knock off in my case lol.

So I cut the upper core support and moved the whole radiator towards the bumper, so it now sits on top of the lower core support but the top tilts towards the engine slightly, both hoses reach just fine so that's good, but I did have to cut a chunk of skeleton on the under side of the hood cause it was hitting the radiator my hoods shit anyway so fuck it lol.

I will still be able to retain the stock hood latch mechanism with a little modification, we are going to make a piece that will tie the upper support back together as well as tie the radiator down. We will mount the hood latch crap to that piece, its also tied into the intercooler upper bracket, so it'll be secure as hell.

Edit: I also noticed I wont need one of them cooling plate things that boxes the area between the grill and upper core support since the radiator sits up in the hood and closer to the grill the air wont be able to go over the radiator and will have to go right through it, plus its further from the manifold now and again, closer to the grill, so besides it bein bigger, there are some other factors coming into play to help with the cooling

I'll take some pics tomorrow since I forgot my cam today, its still all corn apart an we have to finish the new upper support but it should be pretty sweet.

Here's the car all butchered up

Heres making the new radiator / hood support

Some final shots

This is from the 91/92 style grill which I no longer use

The hood fits and closes / opens better then it has since I've owned the car, as for the radiator, it seems to keep the car a bit cooler but haven't really gotten to drive it much to tell.

thats pretty much what i gotta do except i prolly wont end up with a stock hood latch anymore

Yeah. whats cool is since it sits on top of the lower core support instead of behind it, the bottom of the radiator gets more air through the intercooler. Then up top the bottom of the top tank its even with the under side of the hood, so all the air that comes in through the grill has no where to go but straight through the radiator.

I really didn't want to hack into my car, but I really had no choice at the time, but its ok though, this will allow me to have a wider selection of manifolds in the future

did you cut a hole in the hood????

could we have a pic of the hood closed.

sorry you had to cut up the car to make it fit, i bet youre disappointed at that.

Oh man that sucks, but if youre ok with the cutting of the car more power to you. I would've suggested for you to get a hold of all in performance in mollala,or. They do custom radiator tucks and also build custom cores. If anything you couldve went dual pass radiator and moved it under and farther forward facing.

At least you were able to build the bar to make your hood latch again.

I only had to cut the under skeleton of the hood, so you cant tell by looking at it with it closed that anything was done, and ya i wasn't happy about cutting my car up
