i know where the leak is, its that janky piece i had to use for the bov recirc after the maf before the turbo.. i got some different hose to try so we'll see what happens

ok I was able to put in some minutes while it wasn't raining and I got the bov recirc thing situated, ended up using a ga16 lower rad hose, with minor trimming it fit "ok" I will get pics later, or tomorrow.

I also moved the pipe the bov recirc goes on a little to get it to seal better. So far its idling just like it did when it was n/a.. At least in the parking lot without really going on a drive.. I'm sure with a short drive it will idle just as good as before still.

I think I need to adjust the bov though to loosen it up, when I rev it to hear the bov it doesn't really make a psshhh sound, it makes a ch ch ch ch sound, which I believe is compressor surge. It's a really light faint ch ch ch but still I'm gonna soften the bov up to see if it helps.

I also worked on a tune last night that I think should work ok till I get it on the dyno, just need to get the afr's dialed in.

Hey here's what I put together for my build, I'm hoping it will work ok as a starting point. I maybe able to start it up for the first time this weekend. What does your fuel map look like?

well one thing i've noticed with this engine while it was na is that the target afr's in nistune would be much richer on the low cams, then when the high lobes came the target afr's would almost match actual afr's (within a few points)

i dont wanna post the map up just yet because i dont want someone to try to copy it an end up hurting their engine or something, but when i get everything dialed in i'll share my bin for sure.

If it's recirculated I don't think you will hear the desired "nnnsstttt" or "psshhhh" sound? I could be wrong but I thought that was what atmospheric BOV's were for?

yeah but i should hear something.. i've been in recirculated cars before and still heard the air transfer.. i can literally hear the ch ch ch come from the turbo.

i did some reading and this seems to be pretty common with the greddy bov's, so im guessing its a problem with the knock offs lol.. i will try doin what everyone else does and remove one of the springs and see how that does.

you can get an HKS SSQV (actual HKS) for $50 on ebay that's what i'd get why do you have yours recirculated anyway?
