That stuff is thin wall cheap stainless it will crack very easy.
Little to no penetration
A good manifold should be sch 10 or 40
You pay for what you get

My tuner welded it, and cut down the arm more to get it to fit right. So, there was even less area than on the pic I posted. More of a reason for it not to break off.

welding anything to that thin wall is a bad idea and should happen. Stick to stock setups with internal gates on these guys. I hate to see this happen to people, but live and learn I guess.

from my experience, even with awesome welding and materials, resonance/vibration can cause failure on thick or thin wall manifolds/headers in a short amount of time...been there done that and it sucks. however, if you design the system to perform outside of these modes, it will last a lot longer. if in any doubt, stock OEM cast manifolds are beastly...and will definitely perform for a very long time!

If there is someone local to me I could mock up a nice manifold that won't crack and I warranty my work I have yet to have any of my manifolds crack
