I really hope I won't need more then 500whp anytime soon on a daily...

Coheed needs all of that power due to elevation, I'm only at 1300 feet...

Elevation sucks. It puts the compressor into a higher PR on the map, which hurt efficiency slightly. But it makes it harder to push the limits of the turbo as well because it is harder to keep the turbo in its efficiency.

compared to high elevation at 12.6 absolute pressure.

It pushes the turbo out of efficiency to push past 500hp. 480whp on 26psi is good, but I really felt like the boost was pushing the limits of the plastic maf. Also the boost controller wouldn't allow more boost. The 6262 will make my goals much easier I think.

Also look how far the surge line is pushed up. That would explain why the twinscroll pushes the turbo into surge so much. The fast spool on big boost causes some surge in the mid range. Low boost is fine, but on the log manifold I never had problems with surge.

Ok I just overnighted a 2.5" mild steel vband from ATP with clamp. Cost $80 but it will be here tomorrow.

I am going to take the sentra to Element tomorrow after I receive the flange and we are going to get it ready for the dynomite on saturday.

I only made 421whp last year on this dyno. So I am just hoping to hit that number on much less boost this year. Perhaps 100 octane and 18psi.

Man that's a lot for a mild steel vband! . ATP is on West Coast, shipping to you would usually take 2 days via ground.

Either way, curious to see the numbers

Ya shipping was $35 of that. The vband was $24 and the clamp was $15. Plus shipping it was around there.

Ya expensive. I didn't see the need for a stainless vband. Even with stainless, the exhaust housing is going to rust anyway.

So I bought the mild steel, since that is what the downpipe is made out of anyway. I will likely spray it with high temp paint to keep rust from forming.

I expect 380whp or so on 13psi on this dyno. perhaps 400whp coming at 16-18psi. Who knows. I could completely blow those numbers out of the water... or I could miss the dyno opportunity altogether. Depends on getting the parts!

Why did you go 2.5 on the v band? What size down pipe will you be running?

Do you get much snow up there? Mild steal rusts in no time here .

Precision 3" Vband exhaust housings are actually 2.5", thus Coheed has to downsize the downpipe flange.

So do they make them with 3" or what? That's lame.

Just read up on this and I am glad I did. I just got my turbo recently and did not know this.

The T3 comes 2.5" and the T4 is 3".

This is not a problem at all. We will just have to transition up to 3"
