35psi on a diesel is pussy man.

A mildly built Duramax can run on 60psi easily with an upgraded turbo. My friend runs 40psi on a stock internal Duramax engine and turbo.

If I remember right, semi engines can handle more boost. CRANK HER UP!

Lol looks like fun.

Again a duramax has a vagina turbo, the turbo on my truck, well i could wear as a belt. It develops more torque stock than a duramax can dream of making. On a diesel more boost wont get more power more fuel needs to be added then boost goes up on its own, big trucks have 0 aftermarket support, unlike the duramax. But i have marine caterpillar injectors, cam, and bigger turbo coming. I doubt it will see more than 46-48psi and still make over 1200whp and 3200+lbs torque. Oh yeah and still do 1,000,000 miles while a 500whp duramax will last what? 200k tops.

Katana yeah i was doing bout 85, in a 55 where they will ticket you for doing 57mph, famous jackson county michigan. Both vids gross weight was 77,600lbs.

Forgot to add back in the day when we had a dyno day, there was 2 cummins dodges and 1 duramax, all 3 blew up on the dyno. Which is a static pull down dyno, loads up the engine and you must maintain maximum hp for 5 sec. They all went BOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

hahaha vagina turbo sounds like sig. quote material. you should see the ole volvo grossing 77k. it's not pretty. i've been looking into purchasing a truck while everyone is getting rid of them for cheap, then when things turn around going out on my own. i know it's a totally different world though.

It is, but i like it, i work when i want and still pull in decent money. Even though fuel keeps going up..... There is supposed to be a nationwide truck shut down on april 1st due to the fuel price. I dont see why there is a difference of $1 per gallon between gas and diesel when diesel is way cheaper to manufacture..... Last trip i spent $3800 on fuel lol. I think the rates will jump back up when all these bastards out there running for a buck a mile go bankrupt, i mean most of those independents, i wont touch the freight if it doesent pay 2.20/mile.

Fuel is the major factor. Extrude hone bores your injectors out quite nicely.

I can't beleive in these times people are still pulling the cheap freight just to be working or to get a backhaul. I've spoken to a couple of o/o's that are still doing very well b/c the company they are leased on to is paying such a high fuel surcharge, their fuel is basically free. When the time comes I will look into it. The only decent company I have seen to be leased on to is Select Carrier Group. I don't want to be pulling loads off a freight board at a truck stop or going through a broker...eh...i might just stay where I'm at....sorry for the ramble.

You cant do that to mine, the newer CATs which are hydraulic injectors you can. Boost alone wont increase crap. Again you cant compare a 6.6 liter to a 15.8 liter, i dont need to push as much boost to make power.

Yup there still are plenty of those roaches hauling for a buck a mile, and today at 5mpg operating cost is roughly 73 cent per mile just for fuel. I dont see how they are doing it. I haul welch's juice out west which pays me 1.83 on the linehaul plus a 63 cent per mile surcharge. Coming back i haul produce for the same broker my dads been hauling for 20 years, it pays about 2 bucks per mile coming back, soon more since the season is coming up.
