From your description, it sounds wrong. You want the solenoid BETWEEN the WG & the boost source, pre-throttle body.

[edit]Nevermind, I read it wrong, your feeding the Profec sensor from the FPR[/edit]

Chris,

I maybe have not described it right.... Im not unsure about the hoses, Just the reading..

Here is how I have it setup which has been said to be correct im pretty sure.

  • IN on solenoid goes to ATP Adaptor ( NOT stock location in pic )
  • OUT on solenoid goes to Wastegate
  • " SMALL " Thin hose coming out of the controller in the car is T'd
with Boost gauge and then again at the motor by FPR.

With the setting on low or boost controller off It feels basically the same, Havent tried adjusting yet was just wondering and it was on my mind.

No, it sounds right. It's the same as in the manual, Internal Swing Valve type 1.

If the response is the same with it off, as with it cranked all the way down, then there's no problem, eh? I don't exactly know what the stock actuator is, but 7 - 9 psi sounds about right.

Have you tried cranking it up, and if so, do you have enough injector and maf to support more boost? If you don't have one, now is the perfect time to get a Consult cable so you can monitor your maf & injector values. A boost controller can be your best friend, or your worst enemy.

Use a separate signal line for your boost gauge. If not, the actuator's pressure spikes will make it hard to know what boost you are actually running. I just had to fix mine today because of this issue. My boost gauge was fluctuating in boost really bad.

Coheed, I'll setup a direct connection for the boost gauge. @ chris, this post is just my OCD and Paranoia making sure everything is correct hahhaa car is running great I'll try cranking it up a bit I'll need to go 4 bar for more boost until I get bigger injectors , as for MAF I'm good I have an N62...

I have a consult cable and an innovate LC1 for logging.

370 injectors I assume? I love the 4bar 370 concept, it's the ultimate budget friendly upgrade.

2 thumbs up on the cable & LC1. Did you know you can pump the Consult data stream into Innovate LogWorks, this way you'll have the wideband data AND Consult data in one log. Calum explains how in a thread from a while back.

Yes 370's.. Will run 4 bar later when I get an FPR + Walbro 255.

Still on stock pump so Im not going to go over 10lbs

I did not know that about pumping consult into logworks NICE!! thats great to know...

Yeah I figured since I had the whole car apart top to bottom if anything wasnt running right the consult cable would be worth its weight in gold for troubleshooting and now logging.

Thats how I found out I had a MAF problem within 5 mins of just looking at the screen.

So how's the car feel, power-wise now?

Did you do a boost leak test yet? That's my #1 rule whenever putting together a turbo, I don't even start it before doing one.

Daryl,

Here are the posts re: Logworks/Calumsult

Possibilities of wideband logging/display using Realtime ECU?

Please Help with Data Streaming - SR20 Forum

And a video I make that I completely forgot about.

Car feels great.. Didnt do a boost leak test, I did water test all the pipes but didnt boost leak test..

Whats the best way I think I saw some sort of coupler or fitting u put on the pipes..

Cars running great, JK Tuning worked with me on a decent tune through PMs and burning and testing. Car feels nice and holds 12ish AFR's @ WOT... Last drive I got a code 34 knock ( said car started 0 times with this code ) but I also noticed my downpipe was leaking from the J-Pipe prob just have to re-tighten since it was only tightened once and prob loosend. I also see this can give a false reading esp since Ive ripped the car up the road a ton of times with no KNOCK code.

Other than that great gonna tighten exhaust and make sure I dont get anymore knock codes.

Worlds of difference than my old DE even if its only 9lbs T25 ( FEELS GREAT ) builds boost instantly it feels like.
