I would just do the fuel pump. 370s will hold you for 10-12 psi but that stock fuel pump only has to poop out for a few seconds while you are on boost and the engine is loaded....

What wastegate actuator will you be running?

I think the t28 has the stock WG on it so what ever that is. I am aware of what can happen with the lack of fuel so I will definitely be extra cautious until i upgrade that. But under normal DD driving situations I should be ok.

I will attempt the swap over memorial day weekend and immediately start looking into fuel upgrades so i wont be driving for a long time with the stock system.

But if he runs the walbro 255 HP Then he will need the afpr cuz it will be pushing to me pressure for the stock fpr to handle and u would not be at 3 bar anymore. Which it will not run right (ur car will run but not as it should be)

And ya the location will be oK. As long as u use the bb manifold and the j pipe. U can't use the gtir manifold and bb j pipe cuz it will not sit in the same position for the downpipe to connect. It was sonthing like that i don't remember the ones where it sits in same location but ya I know the j pipe and downpipes are tilted a little different.

If u just swapping the turbo ur fine for fitment

Well that's what I would do too but people run the walbro or 300z pump straight up all the time w no afpr.

Just better be safe then sorry, leave stock boost alone till u have supporting mods

I made 283whp with the 370s @4bar, but they were maxing out, but the AFR was good, but its always better to have bigger injectors

I did 280 also on 370s maxed out @4bar. Switched to 740s @3bar tuned my safc2 on my jwt ecu on the dyno and made 305.

So gey some bigger inj if you can.

Stratton.

Informative thread.

Related Question: Aside from the fuel aspects discussed earlier, if I wanted to go from my t25 to a t28, I would just need the t28 and a t28 manifold? The exhaust j pipe would be in the same location (allowing me to reuse my downpipe?)?

Well I got my hands on it.

Interesting WG bracket. I dont think thats from a gtir but i could be wrong.

Anyone know what WG this is?

Ok so im gonna attempt this over the Memorial day weekend coming up so I wat to make sure I have all my ducks in a row so I dont have any hiccups along the way.

Everything seems ok so far but Im a little concerned about the wastegate size and position. It is clearly bigger in size and is on a custom bracket. This turbo was on a ca18det so it could be setup in a way that it would interfere with the sr20. If there is a problem with this wastegate, I guess i can just pull the one from the t25 and make a bracket.

Anyone???
