How worthwhile is a N1 intake on a turbo VE?
I picked up a sr20ve engine with a full N1 intake (no secondary fuel rail tho, they have been blocked off)

I am planning to put the Ve head on a DET block, but i can sell the N1 intake to fund other goodies for the build.

Do you guys think its worthwhile keeping for a basic VE turbo build? I'll only be using a t28 for now, but making a decent manifold for it to help the turbo keep up, and the best dump pipe i can design. I would like to upgrade to a bigger turbo at some stage, but i still wonder if the N1 intake and TB are a bit too big to make a noticeable difference on a turbo setup.

Thoughts?

Dre is sold on porting the manifold and using it. It is supposedly worth 20-30hp but noone ever posts dyno data.

I own one of Dre's ported N1 manifolds that was on Manny's motor a long while back. That motor was very efficient and ran like a raped ape.

I am not sure exactly how much it will yield but, I imagine it helps.

I am going to bump this up, rather than make a new thread

I scored a cheap N1 package that included a complete intake manifold with TB

Would i have any decent benefits with using this on my VET build. (big cams, oversized valves, Twin scroll GTX30) Or what i be better off selling it and using the stock manifold.

You will have to port the n1 mani to get gains.
