Thread: starting problems

I'm trying to find out what's goin on here. I'm starting the up in the morning for school to have it shut its self off. As soon as I turn the car on the rpms go up way high then shuts off. I also tried staring the car without the intake pipe to the manifold and she starts up and idles no problem. Any ideas?
