Why can't it? I have built 500whp pump gas SR's.

Especially with the design of the 20V head and extra cooling it can be done.

Please dont make statements of which you dont know. This is a JWT ECU. There is no programming, tuning going on. All we did was just set timing and set fuel presure.

93 octane all the way

The damn VET comes comes 9 to 1 compression from the factory. The 20V-VET head is a very very knock resistant head. Allows leaner mixtures, high compression and high boost numbers in comparison to other SR20 motors.

When you have more water above the cumbustion chamber and Inconel valves then you will see whats posible

P11 gear box.

At the end of the year we are switching over to 6 speed.

You trip me out dude. Again don't get over technical.

We made mid 400's on pump gas with Manny's VE-T an the car showed no signs of any issues. A well tune VE-T can easily make over 500 whp on 93 octane.

Man what a beast.
Ballpark price for this setup,Andreas?
Not that I could afford it,just wondering.
Someday,I would love to have you build me a VE motor to just drop in and go.Probably bigblock,NA though.

I made a little over 400whp with 93 so it is possible. Pump gas now has 10% ethonal so i believe that helps. I switched to E85 and made like 40hp extra but pump gas is ok.

I was making in the 440 range on 91 octane pump on my DE-T with my last setup, 60 trim. 20psi all day long on pump gas. Even in the 120 deg summer days i never had one sign of detonation. Hell the plugs i pulled out when i put it down for upgrades had 8k miles on them and still looked awesome. Not a spec on them, not a spec of detonation on the pistons, block or head. With good tuning 500whp is very easy on pump gas.

I have been making decent #s on pump for a while now....

This is fantastic work!!

I do have several questions however;

With upping the boost, were you just monitoring the timing and A/F ratio and then making changes to only the fuel pressure?? What changes were made while bringing the boost up??

My basic question, how was the "tuning" (for lack of better term) done throughout the session??

You can pm if you prefer.

Thanks much
