Cheap internal wastegate upgrades for 2871R?
Hey,

Anyone know a cheap upgrade for the 6psi wastegate:

Wastegate Actuator 6 PSI : atpturbo.com

I'm running 16psi and notice boost fall off at high RPM.

I was thinking I could buy one of the bent ones and just bend it straight?

Wastegate Actuator 28RS style, 14 PSI : atpturbo.com

There's the obvious upgrade path:

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-WGT-031&Category_Code=WGT

But that's almost $100. Was wondering if anyone knew any other wastegates I can use that are cheaper. I'm using this bracket:
http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-WGT-011&Category_Code=WGT

Any other ideas?

p.s. DON'T SAY EXTERNAL WASTEGATE!

What about a gate that is external for waste?

I would say you have in adjusted wrong. My factory gate on my 718r held 18psi from 0mph to 150mph.

Maybe a boost leak or a weak bov ?

Stratton.

This is a custom one..6psi. I'm running more than twice that(almost 3x). This wastegate essentially shouldn't hold that.

You probably have the 12-14psi version that came w/the 2871R
