Weird Prob
I just swapped an Aveneir motor into my b13. I have a Calum Rt. V1. My prob is that when the car is cold, it will rev up nicely but when it gets warm, majority of the time, it will only rev to 2k rpm. As if it has a rev limiter. When this happens, i've noticed the way to get around this prob is to turn the car off for like 2 min or so and when I start it back up, it fixes the prob. What can this be? Anyone have this prob before?

My set-up is
Aveneir
370cc inj
de maf
Skinny o2 sensor (Didn't make a difference with the regular one either)
and I tripple checked for vacuum leaks and havn't found any. Also, when the car acts up like this, it will get a hunting idle if I hold the gas down for like 5 sec, bouncing up and down from 1k to 2k.

When it doesn't pass 2k does it sound like a two step? Sounds almost like a maf issue.

No, the rpms bounce slowly up and down

Thats what i was thinkin. When i did my swap i forgot to plug the maf back in and it was doing the same thing.

I know the maf should b good because I was just using it with my vvl swap and it worked fine. Also, when i'm in Conzult, the maf volts read around 1.5v. Could it be that i'm using the wrong bin for my set-up? I'm using the Aveneir 370cc bin from the Nistune rom pack. I swapped over all the U.S sensors. The only one i'm using that isn't the U.S one is the skinny o2 sensor.

TPS! The first week I had my SE-R the car would pick and choose how high it wanted to rev. Sometimes it was 2200, sometimes it was 3k, sometimes it would make it all the way to the top, it was hit or miss. A new TPS solved my problem 100%.

Edit, I cleaned my throttle body at the same time, but it wasn't too dirty so I do believe it was the TPS that fixed my problem. Guess it wouldn't hurt to clean up your TB as well if it's dirty.

Yea I was looking at the tps also as a culprit but in Conzult, it's showing a reading of. 48 at idle and at wot it's something like 4.04. I know thatthe iidle is about right but what about the wot numbers?

IIRC, 4.0 is correct. But was that measure being taken while the car was sticking at 2k, or with the motor off?

I did both ways. When thd car was sticking at 2k, I still opened up the throttle all the way and whhile the car was off.

Did you replace all the usdm sensors to the avenir? I had a problem like that before. And It was the coolant temp sensor.
