Thread: Tial 38mm on GTI-R manifold?

i did it on my old set up with a blue bird manifold you can do it, just kinda sucks welding it onto the cast get it nice and hot to avoid cracking...

Na thats mine that I had done by my local weld guy. Theres WAY more room to weld it right to the manifold itsself. You just have to grind it down until its flat enough to weld the flange right to it. Mine was just a quick job cause I needed the car back on the road. Like I said, even with mine sticking out as far as it does it still cleared until I had to run both vacuum hoses. Even then I dont HAVE to run both for the electric boost controller. But I set everything up a while ago and Im to lazy to touch the car at this point so its staying!
