I'm not upset, I just come off really harsh online because I treat each post on the forum like a chat conversation and I'm just an animated guy. Don't let it get to you.
I'm thinking I might make a post to explain engine balancing including first order, second order, and third order imbalances. It should go along nicely with the harmonic damper thread which describes a distinctly different phenomenon.

Thank you!!!
I was about to say the same thing!!

That being said, I would go with the VE pump especially if you plan to track the car. I lost a 66K mile engine due to oil starvation on the track. Still pisses me off to this day that it happened. Any future SR20 that I buid will always have a VE pump.

VE = GTiR pump.

Get one. OR, at least get a DET pump. DE pumps are okay, but for longevity's sake you can't go wrong with a higher flowing pump.

Flow and pressure are different, and the GTi-R pump has this nodual that sticks out making only GTi-R pulleys fit.

Physical differences aside, the ve and gtir pump flow the same volume, at the same pressures...

If that's ture someone should tell the GTi-R guys because a few have done the "upgrade" to a VE pump and they claim some higher pressure numbers afterwords. I'm curious of this too now because I was thinking of getting a VE pump, but if it's pointless I can just get an new R pump for way cheaper.
