Ok, just ordered the VVL head gasket from G spec, and the VVL e manifold gasket as well, it just looked too good. Picked up a fresh chain while I was at it too amongst other stuff. Thanks for the info guys, especially about the cometic I was gonna get.

Bump this back up, Greg is out of the VE gaskets. Whats my best bet after that? What about a Felpro? I will be between 300-350hp. I have a SR20DET.

Ben, don't use a felpro hg. That's what we sell at work. Look into the mazworth hg.

The OEM paper gasket for the DE(T) will be more than enough for 300-350 WHP (you did mean wheel horsepower right?) and very forgiving toward imperfections in the surfaces.

did you mean maXworth, i cant find anything on google about maZworth?

and you followed proper torquing procedures when installing that gasket?
