I have a cometic VE gasket. I really hope I don't have issues.

$75 for a MLS is a good price, i have been using the VE metal gasket my self without any issues

yeah, the cometic just doesn't fit as nice. The holes for the dowel alignment are way too big, so it makes perfect placement impossible. The stock gaskets just fit a whole lot better.

The cometic can do just fine, but I have had issues with them on several motors.

Would the MLS VE gasket be able to handle 400hp with a proper tune? 87mm bore?

This is how I like to rate them.

Cometic MLS: ~350 WHP
OEM paper: ~450 WHP
OEM VE MLS: ~650 WHP
Apexi/Cosworth MLS: ~1,000 WHP

Has anyone confirmed if the VE mls hg will work with a 87mm build? I have heard rumors that it would.

^If you are talking about the one from post #17, then yes. I asked GregV this last week. You can double check with him to confirm. I'm going 87mm 9.0:1
