Gonna see what warranty says.... if there is one

Yea the ceramic stuff does wear out faster, but wow you chewed that up quick.

Not sure if I want to shell out another $160 on a Clutchnet to have it die a year later.

Yeah the ceramic 6 pucks wear really fast. They grip really good but wear down alot quicker than a normal street disk. My 6 puck ceramic ACT disk only lasted about a year of hard use with an extreme pressure plate Mine was losing chunks of it. Especially once they start to slip a bit the heat just makes the ceramic brittle that mixed with harsh engagments during spirited driving.

I would say yours doesnt look too bad and probably had some life left on it but trust me. The ceramic disks just dont last. If you want longevity out of a disk get a street/strip disk with the normal fiber crap.

If you want a 6 puck that will last longer i would go with a harsher cermetallic disk, but it will put alot of wear on the pp and flywheel.

Other than that its the street strip one for sure

yeah that is the trade off, normally the clutch disks arent that much money compared to the flywheel and pressure plate. which means you might only pay 100-150 for the disk maybe a little more, however flywheels or at least good flywheels can run you into the hundreds same with PP so its like a cheaper more harsh ceramic disk could possibly wear out more expensive parts. its kinda like a trade off.

personally i have been running the clutchmasters fx400 for over 4 years now, over 10k miles on it with multiple dyno sessions on it and no problems whatsoever. they are really good products.

definitly see what the warrenty can do for you.

I thought ceramics lasted longer, kinda like the brakes.

I would love a disc setup, just don't know what would hold the power. Plus some extreme PP probably.

act xtss setup. I did 4 years 342whp 308lbft and at least 6hrs of brutal dyno sessions through 4 different turbo setups. The numbers above are from the last gt28rs setup. I have also had good luck with clutch masters in the past. In fact the clutch held so well I kill 1,2nd and third gear.

to be honest i have talked with both act and CM and they both have been quoted as to saying the ceramic pp are good for 15-25k depending on the abuse obviously.

what kinda power are you looking to make. honestly i would say the 4-6 puck should hold, not sure why this one didnt. but notmally it should hold

I might have to go CM route, I personally don't like ACT, seen too many of them fail.

Man only 25k miles? Any clutches that last longer? This is my daily with some occasional autocrossing. Max goal is 300whp, or what ever feels fast enough on the fatty-11
