How exactly would I check for a bad wastegate actuator? I checked for boost leaks using the air compressor method and listening for hissing sounds coming from the fittings but I didn't hear anything!

ok new question. brown plug on idle controls not hooked up idles fine @ 850. plugged in and makes car idle @2k. also my harness was cut and i dont have a coolant temp sensor to my ecu will this combo put ecu in limp/failsafe mode and pull fuel/timing? i know its throwing a cel.

need to set your idle it sounds like, what's your tps reading? and yes you need your cts.

I'm sure that cts gotta have something to do with it. I need to fix these small problems anyways. What wire colors are on the 2wire plug for the cts for the b14?

Ok so I did an experiment..I tried my friends SAFC II with my tune on it and the bucking at 3-4000 is basically gone. The only where it's seems to choke up is around 5500 rpm.

The only difference between his SAFC II and mine is that he can only adjust the rpm increments in 1,000's (ex..1000..2000..3000..etc). On my SAFC II I can adjust by 100's (ex..1000, 1100, 1200..etc). I guess there was some software change somewhere?

I have to mess with the settings and select the same numbers that's on his unit and see if it makes a difference.

you try running with the ecu and not the safc?? Car should run halfway decent without the safc and that tune.

the bucking was only under boost. if I run the car in boost with just the factory ecu that sounds like i'm asking for trouble..

Fixed the cooland temp sensor and swapped aac valves and my idle dropped to 1300ish and I can't get it down from there.... My cel stays on and I can't put it diagnostics mode to check codes. Had 2 different timing lights on it and it misses randomly. Is it possible my ecu is stuck in a failsafe/limp mode?
