The watercooled gates cost more? Nope. As far as I know all the new V38 have cooling ports. The price didn't change.

Apexi also used to make watercooled gates, but you had to spend a lot more money to get one.

You know what my answer to melting diaphragms is? Run more boost. Give the wastegate a break from the heat.

I am pretty sure he is talking about Tial vs Synapse pricing... Not Tial vs Tial w/c pricing.

You are right tho about price not going up and them all being like that... It is the new version, and not a new line.

Exactly. Thanks.

Synapse gate = $209 buy it now on eBay.

TiAL = $340 cheapest buy it now on eBay.

Don't forget you don't ever need to replace a spring in a Synapse gate, so that's a savings of ~$25 for however many springs you end up buying if you want to control boost beyond 200% of spring pressure accurately.

I ordered my Synapse 50mm gate with all hardware, v-band clamps, and it was $365. Not the cheapest but thank God i only have to get one. hahaha. Should be more than enough to keep the creep away with that 6765.

I got 2 tial V38 for about $250 a piece iirc. Considering the packaging, I couldn't be happier. But then again, I'm one of the few that utilizes twin scroll.

Not sure why you hate it so bad, the price is cheaper than their old 38mm 2 bolt setup, it is smaller so more versatile, allows for the water cooling which I can definitely see it being beneficial in certain situations, just because they put that option on there doesn't mean you have to use it. And a huge plus is the springs are $8.50 each and not $30 like on the old model..
We sell them all day for Subaru owners going EWG and people love them, never have gotten a complaint.

You missed the point by a mile and half.

Synapse is initailly cheaper AND you don't have to buy any springs.

Synapse builds boost quicker because of its 'better" design.

Synapse doesn't have a diaghram that can get ruined over time or by over temp.

This is NOT a Tial old design vs New design debate. Who cares what everybody else does? Just because everybody else ran a honda ecu would you? The only things that Tial has over Synapse IMO is brand name and water cooling..... which isn't even needed for the Synapse due to the lack of diaghram.

I've run Tial and they are good, but I am not even considering Tial as an option anymore considering what else is out there. If I get stuck where I need a small watercooled wastegate... then I would consider it.

I missed the 4th post which had the argument the point the Synapse was better than the Tial when I would've though it would be in the first post, my bad right?

I like your analogy there with the Honda ECU because you know I run one. Are you mad about something?
