hmm 550whp at what spark plug gap on stock ignition?

.022 plug gap. 30psi of boost, roughly 550whp.

When i dynod with the stock intake manifold and 24psi @461whp i had the gap at .032 and started having spark blowout around 21-22psi, lowered the gap to .22 and revved out fine. Then went to the aftermarket manifold w/Q45 throttle body and upped to 30psi of boost and still no ignition misfire. But im sure i was pretty close to maxing out the stock ignition. That seems to be the limit of the B13 ignition. The B14 ignition has been proven to be weaker and blow out spark at lower hp and boost levels.

hmm, didn't know about the B14 being worse. This Avenir I have comes w/a b14 ignition.

hmmm I wondered about this. I'm still on a stock plug gap. wonder when (psi) I'll need to fine tune it.

did you just jump to .022 or did you lower it little by little?

Went straight to .022. No messing around with plug gaps. It wasnt too low and not too high and took care of the sputtering.
