lol the update of when its running and broken probably on the same day. hahahaha

I just dont trust them, period. Ive seen the damages in person and all over the internet. Why risk something like that.

You can get a good condition T25 for like 150.00 or so. So again why not get the genuine stuff.

On a side note, my buddy got a call from Godspeed (knows people there) and they want him to test one of their TDo5 18g turbo's, $400 new on their site and see how well they last and perform and how clearances are bolting it to the stock manifold.

If he ever goes through with it, i will update.

Godspeeds products have gotten a lot better throughout the years and they actually have a nice T67 for $500 but again, im too iffy. They also have a GT40R on there for $550 i believe. As tempting as they are i just cant pull myself to do it.

I have set myself on a new Precision 6765 because i know it will last and not give me problems.

You guys also know that you can buy ebay turbos, buy a Garret rebuild kit & still save money right? Dont even install the turbo, just rebuild the turbo with the rebuild kit. Just throwing that into the wind

maybe you should chill the F$CK OUT. im not shit talkin little boy, i just dont trust anything that my oil, coolant and exhaust passes threw to produce power and possibly blow my engine up, this is a part that should be properly machined with exacting tolerances, good flow.

do you have maps showing if they produce dangerous boost spikes? how about some oil pressure readings? coolant temp readings? post it up! or are you just a cheap a$$ fan boi?

Make sure you get it balanced too.

My friend is running a T70 chinacharger on his Turbo 280z and he puts down low 12s at 18psi. 15psi daily driven for over a year now. Megasquirt installed and tuned by me.

Masterpowers arent really ebay turbos though. They are just garretts basically. Apparently there older stuff used to suck. But there new stuff is good. Mustang, Supra, and Ford Guys love there stuff.

Hell, Scrildo here runs a Master power that I sold him since I wasnt gonna run it and that car is NASTY and its not even tuned.

I don't know why everyone is on Garrett's nuts lately?

Garrett turbines are pretty weak lately. Around two years ago, they were golden, and they started to fall off with quality control. Maybe because they're outsourcing their materials to China?

Right now, the turbines to look for are Precisions, Mitsubishi, IHI, or Borg Warners. These are the turbochargers you find OEM's running.

I think automotive parts and cars in general are like alot of things in life. If something seems to good to be true it probably is. That being said if you only install high quality parts with R&D behind them your car will run a long time with no issues. If you install a ebay part you take a risk... a risk in this case that your turbo may fail or leak oil.

I will put it to you this way a do it yourselfer may just use Wal-Mart or Craftsmen tools. They are good tools that come with a great warranty. You buy a cheap ratchet and it breaks fixing your lawnmower. You go to Sears/Wal-Mart and get a free one and fix your lawnmower the next day.

A flat rate automotive tech can maybe get lucky using Sears/Wal-Mart tools. Just like some people get lucky with Ebay turbos. Eventually the tool is going to break using it everyday. If the tech can't complete that job within the book time he doesn't make the most amount of money he could.

My tool cart is pretty modest but is filled to the brim with Snap-On tools care to guess why?

My advice is to either save up for a quality part or buy a used quality part.

I hate to say it Cliff but everyone is going that route, first it was cosmetics, then N/A parts and now forced induction...

China is to car parts as Mexicans are to construction!!!!
