why not just get stainless steel lines and fitting and do it while u have room, dont wait u will never do it after it works

I have no idea what fittings I would use to make this work.

Take one of the barbs with you and go to an Autozone (or any random parts place), ask them to go in the back and look at all of the formed hoses (like the waterlines that run to the firewall on a sentra). They have tons and tons of different shapes and configurations. You may have to buy a bigger line and trim it down, but one of them will have the shape that you need. It looks like a gentle S curve would work nicely.

Hi Swiss. That is what I did today. I found a hose that is close. But I dont think it will be a permanent solution. Unfortunately, its more like a 90 and s-curve.

I was considering getting the oil return flange with the integrated barb fitting. I was thinking there was a chance it was shorter than my current setup, which would allow for a little more bend in the hose.

I thought someone made hose thats wrapped in spring that allows for it to be bent into any position?

They sell something like that... It's a spring with a metal strip as a backbone. The backbone let's you shape the hose, and the spring keeps the hose from kinking. I tried one once, but it was too long for the little section of hose between the turbo and block. You may be able to just use your own spring, cut to length.

Well, it looks like I will just be jamming a hose on for now and clamping the shit out of it so I can get the car on the road. At this point no good solution has presented itself, and I cant seem to get anyone to post pictures of their disco setups. I found one setup online, but his fittings line up almost perfect, a far cry from mine.

You didnt like the 45 idea?

Put this in the block, Holley Performance Products 45° 5/8" Hose to 1/2" NPT Male Elbow*984410ERL

And get something similar to mount on the disco.

My thinking is you will be able to line them up close enough to stick a short straight hose on.

Is this a bad idea?

Well its alive, sort of lol. We got it started after 10 weeks or so. I will get a recirc port welded on to the intake Monday. I also need to get the flange rotated on my DP. Plus I have a breather catch can to install. Here are a few pictures.

Soooooo, I am having two issues.

First, the idle jumps between 800-4500, and doesnt stop, it just keeps fluctuating. Never had this problem on the old setup. However, numerous things were removed. All emissions equipment were removed. Do I need to keep the solenoid plugged in where the EGR was, or will that not effect anything? Oil pressure fluctuates between 60-80psi as well. If this was a vacuum leak, I assume it would want to do, not have jumpy idle.

Second, I am getting some smoke from the manifold. Its got a new gasket it on it (cheap, not OEM). Is the new gasket just heating up and smoking? I don't see any leaks of anything else.

Smoke from the mani could be just oil and grease and junk from touching it.anything that has soaked into it while all this work has been going on will burn off and it should eventually go away.
