DANG! w/clutch push in it wont go in gear
I was leaving the car wash, pushed in clutch for 1st & 2nd gear with no issue then pushed in clutch to engage 3rd and it didnt want to go in gear,so i pulled over and checked the clutch cable, adjustment & pedal everthing was right on... with the car off it engages into all the gears, with the car on & clutch pedal to the floor it will not engage...I needed to get home sooooo i shut the car off put in 1st gear turned the key and got it rolling again ,i went through the gears without pushing in the clutch...I drive a concrete truck for a living, my skills are there so no worries ..All the gears felt normal and even the clutch felt strong which only has about 500 miles on it(ACT ext pp,street/strip disk)..could it be a throw out bearing issue?....thanks in advanced

Check the weld in the actuator arm right near where the rod goes down into the box. I've had that split before right at the weld.

im believing that's it! should i drop the motor or just the trans? it gave me hell the first time(along time ago) to get trans aligned and i ended up dropping the motor any way...is there a trick/technique to put tranny back on?is it possible for one person to do?thanks!

if it goes into gear with the car off which it does, sounds like a broken spring on the disk! Oh no time to go solid disk!

^^^^You sir was right on the money! im kinda dissapointed with the ACT street/strip clutch I just installed it in january and only really got to use it when the track opened in march & abused until june(only 4 months of abuse )... but i did put more than 100 passes @ the track...anyhow i'm glad that it was only the clutch and not the tranny YEY!!! should i contact ACT or is this normal? thanks everyone for your input!

Well it surely isn't suppose to do that. A call to ACT might be worth your while, but don't expect miracles...
