Who has Avenier long blocks that work???
im in the market for a other Avenier long block mine spun a bearing..... soo i need too see who has had good luck with a motor distributor ??? i was thinking the Sr20-Store... but dont know just yet

I got a pretty good avenir motor from jdm engine depot. Not a bad price either

why not just replace the bearing? i recently had to do that and replace the crank. it really wasnt that hard and it was my first time doing it. The car runs like new now.

Agree with just replacing the spun bearing. If you're lucky, you didn't destroy the crank. They're a dime a dozen though.

IIRC, the RR SR20DE has the lower mounted oil filter, if that's what you mean. You can just use the oil filter assembly from an RR and put it on your current motor if you want.

are all the sr20de cranks interchangble??

Yes. All are interchangeable. You obviously need to check clearances when you install.

yes and some people opt to go for 4cw from the VE's instead of the 8cw cranks you normally see. I would just stick with stock though. I picked up a good crank for $50 from a friend and new mains and rod bearings for ~$80 and since there is like 3k worth of parts in my motor is was the cheapest option.

Other than the basic tools I got a new caliper for measuring and plastigage, then I was good to go.
