Yes stock FPR is fine for all but the most extreme setups. The stock fuel pump should be good up to maybe around 200 HP but that's real low boost and you'll certainly want to upgrade that if you go above 5-6 psi and want any more power.

When you crank the car the oil will start flowing too, yes. Make sure you're not in the middle of installing the oil feed or something when you crank the car or oil will start spraying out.

I actually installed the oil feed and turbo and cranked the car to make sure the oil feed was working (looked for oil dribbling out of the turbo drain) before fully attaching the oil drain. Just to make sure the oil feed and turbo were working well. You can also check for oil leaks in the feed line when you do this.

You do that so you can make sure the new ECU, new injectors and new MAF are all working well together before going any further.

The turbo tuned ECU and larger injectors/MAF will work just fine on the N/A car before you install the turbo so it's a great opportunity to make sure those three things are working well before moving on.

I'm planning on just wastegate boost, so 7psi. I'll need to get a larger fuel pump correct? If I do that will I need a AFPR?

We had a member running 5.5 or 6.5 psi on a stock fuel pump for a long time and he was fine, but he was more than likely stressing the pump to the max and a fuel pump is such a quick and cheap install you should just add it to your eventual plans.

If you go to a larger fuel pump you don't need an adjustable FPR. Not one bit.

The go-to fuel pump for most people is the Walbro 255lb/hr HP (high pressure) unit with the installation "kit". If you weren't aware.

So the Walbro 255 would be a good idea to upgrade but the car will be fine for a week or so while its getting to me? What are the signs of an over worked fuel pump?

My avenir ran 8-9 psi from the factory. My boost gauge and my wastegate were both fed from the manifold. Autometer boost gauge. Just saying you can't always count on the factory wastegate being entirely accurate. Maybe my 3 inch downpipe helped this?

A fuel pump would see a pressure drop if it was overworked, the injectors would be outflowing the pump, it would cause lean conditions.

You'll be surprised when you do the walbro install, the walbro is much smaller than the factory pump, you'd think larger would = more flow.

I think you should be ok, just don't do multiple 0-100-0 runs Heat plays a large role in detonation.

That's what I'd go with. Make sure to get the high pressure version (not the low pressure one meant for carbureted engines).

Yah it should be okay. Stay out of boost if you or the driver can. It would be best to do any tuning after the fuel pump upgrade.

They die without warning. =D

(skcusloa is right. The injectors will be outflowing the pump and you will get lean conditions. That's when you're asking mroe fuel than the pump can provide. However running the pump at 99% of pressure capacity is still not a good idea. That's what I meant by stressing it. You will have no warning until it leaves you stranded.)

Looks like Ill purchase one of those aswell, so it should be fine to dd as long as I don't WOT it until i get the new pump?

Yah you just want to stay out of boost to be extra safe until you replace the stock fuel pump with a better one.

Edit: Okay WOT or boost isn't so bad. Just don't do full boost above 5k rpm. =]

W10s came in at 7psi and W11s came in at 9psi. Which model did you have?
