Its actually not, I thought the same at first, look again. He's got the exit of the wastegate bolted straight up to the elbow.

Thanks for the feedback guys! For the wastegate I drilled through the hump of the gti-r manifold (with the additional hole to get gasses from all cylinders of corse) then I made a dump tube that exits at the crossmember pointed back and to the ground. For an atm. Wg dump it's pretty quiet.

Have since changed out little filter on valve cover for a subaru sti pcv valve, they hold boost
