I ran again tonight, but the intercooler pipe didn't hold up. Ran 12.3 with a 2.1 60' spinning the slicks really bad in 1st. I barely hit 4th and the pipe blew. It was still over 90* at the track though. Ran 8.01 in the 1/8th trapping 97mph. Ended up trapping 107mph. I think the car could have had 124mph in her tonight considering I was trapping that high in the 1/8th. I could feel a boost leak on the frontage road by the track, but I was already there so I figured I would go for it. My intercooler pipe blew off and got dragged on the ground pretty bad wednesday night. When the pipe blew tonight, the coupler blew a hole straight through. So I had to drive her home with no boost.

Not cool when you are 50 miles from the track and running race gas.

I'm gonna redo the intercooler piping/intercooler setup soon anyway. Plan on running more boost in the future, but I need to go back to pull-through maf to do that.

It would be nice to spend some money getting the a/w intercooler setup done, and investing in water-meth injection.

I have weighed my car at the race track and at a digital scale where I use to work at and the car would come in at 2660-2675 with me out of the car, I weigh 250 you add that up and your talkng nearly 3000 pounds.
Why my car weighs so much I don't know could be between the rims and sound system and the turbo parts all together.

i saw the vid the car runs nice, It sounded like you rode the clutch to much in first gear. But yeah the car is a sleeper. When will you be going back.

I actually didn't ride the clutch at all. I dumped it at about 8000rpm, but it wasn't a really hard dump. I basically launched like I was trying to do a burnout. Which it did lol.

Cars up here trap around 8-10mph slower than sea level. For instance, the Z06 trapping 117mph, and the GTR only trapping 111mph. My friend in his 750awhp celica only traps 141 or so. Just the nature of the beast I guess.

I don't wanna weigh my car. It's gonna weigh more than I want.

A GTR35 only trapping 111mph? Or was it a GTR32 or 33 or 34 ?

if its really a GTR35 then thats a hard proof for the elevation-effect.

Yes, it is a new R35 GTR.
