blahh the egr code is still there and I need to make it go away to pass emissions inspection. Do I have any options besides getting a bung welded onto the manifold to hook up the EGR? Seems like such a pain in the ass!

Which code? Also did you plug up all of the sensors into the harness?

Just plug in your factory EGR temp sensor and the EGR solenoid valve. Once those are plugged in the light will go off. Just zip tie them out of the way.

I never unplugged any of my EGR stuff, the only thing that was disconnected was the pipe that normally goes into the header. My friend crushed his pipe and he hasn't had the light come on but is that the way to do it? Or should that pipe be left open?

The codes I have are:
p0400-egr flow malfunction
p0505 idle control system
p0325 knock sensor circuit 1 malfunction

You left the EGR pipe open?

That's a gigantic leak you got there, in that case.

FYI: You don't need all the readiness monitors to be ready. I believe you can have up to 2 not set and it will still pass as long as the CEL isn't on.

Depends on your state. Some states allow three, some allow a big fat ZERO.

ugh I keep getting three codes that won't go away.

p0325 knock sensor circuit 1
p0505 idle air control malfunction
p0100 maf flow circuit 1 (most likely due to SAFC II).

I never had any of those codes until after the turbo. Actually I never had any codes before the turbo! How do I test the knock sensor to see if it's dead? I would like to make my car CEL free!

Just replace the knock sensor, they are about $50 shipped on eBay. Make sure to get an OEM one and be done with it .

I got A 96' 200sx with a GtiR kit with no codes. My Egr tube is re routed to the downpipe.
Sometimes if I take it to the track qnd go hard on it for some reason it will throw the front O2 code, but all I have to do is erazed and it wont comeback on. Ill post pictures of the egr soon.
