yes I replaced the knock sensor a few months back. I am wondering if the code has anything to do with my safc wiring. I guess i'll have to pull the ecu and see which is a pain in the back (literally).

The p0325 code should not affect your emissions. It throws a code, but it is a stored code, and doesn't trigger the CEL. So you should be able to pass no problem. If you have a JWT, some boards just do this.

I was having the same exact issue, but the CEL never came on, so I passed.

I'm guessing it's throwing the SES light, since he needs to get rid of it. SES light=failed emissions.

The check engine light is off and stays off and I can get all the monitors to be "ready" but the P0325 code comes up as a pending code (but doesn't trigger the CEL). From speaking to my coworker he told me as long as there is a pending code the car is going to fail OBD II inspection because it will kick out a "Non Ready" error through the NYS DMV computer.

I originally thought the issue was an SAFC wiring issue at the ECU but I pulled the ecu today and it turns out I didn't even tap into the knock sensor wire so the issue is not on the ecu side.

Basically as soon as I reset the light and the car idles for a few minutes it kicks out the P0325 code as pending so I'm wondering if it's a break in the wiring somewhere. I replaced the sensor with a new one just a few months back for the same code thinking the sensor was bad but I guess it might be the wiring now.

Anyone have a way to bypass this sensor temporarily? Is it looking for a variable resistant or constant? I wonder If I can add in a resistor?

Also, I'm running colder plugs with a gap of .038, would that cause it to kick out the code?

Time to get the DVM out and test the resistance and voltages as per FSM spec for the wire .

Ok guys I'm even more confused now. According to the FSM the P0325 code is triggered when the knock sensor voltage is too high or too low. In my case it seems to be too high.

Here's what I checked today :

1.With the knock sensor installed and harness plugged in, probing the knock sensor wire at the ecu and using battery ground, I am getting 3.25V. The FSM states that 2.5V at idle is normal.

2. When I unplugged the knock sensor harness and checked the voltage at the sensor harness both with ignition on and with the vehicle idling, I am still getting 3.25 volts.

How am I getting a reading at the ECU when the knock sensor wasn't even hooked up? I verified I had the correct pin on the ECU about ten times!

WTF is going on here?
