In Chile we have p11 from 97 to 2003 but all the engines come with the same tranny of the se-r so if you have more than 300whp your fried.

I have my stock tranny well past 300whp for over 4 years and have not destroy anything yet. This being said I have a 01 p11 on the way. That sucks that the p11 did not get the rs5f70v tranny.

nice info cliff, I was under the impression that all the P11 tranys where the strong ones...
How do I know the year of the car in which the tranny came in? I just bought one and really dont want to brake it, since I plan on selling my B13 one...

you need to know the year of the car it came from. they all look the same from the outside. If you open it you can see that third gear is thicker.

not that I am aware of. This why most people go by manufacture date on the door jam.

I bought it in a place that sells all kind of motors and parts and stuff, but not even they knew what they had, they thought it was a SE-R one, then they said B15, then said P11... I bought it for like $300, dunno the year but I do know its a P11/B15 one with viscus LSD, I hope its the right one and I dont brake 3rd when I tune in "high" boost...

even if it has the weaker gear stack you can put the qg18 gear stack in it and have a 01-02 p11.
