Fresh swap issues... Please Help!
Ok so here is the deal.... Im a member of the other sr20forum but I seem to not be able to get help from there or find anything on that site so Im now here....

I used to own a 92 se-r that i had my det swap in. I bought a 96 gxe sedan for $100 and the body is in excellent condition and has a clean title. I pulled the det from the se-r and swapped it into the 96. The 92 looked like hell and had too much body rust for me.

I used the 92 se-r harness with the det ecu. I found the under dash wiring diagram on sr20forum.com and soldered the corrosponding wires together....I hooked up my battery and got no fuel pump prime and no starter signal(starter will not engage). The starter is good.

The three plugs from the engine harness that go into the harness under the hood are not plugged into anything. They are not connected because the plugs are different. I can not find anything about the wires and what they do for both cars. I have no problem with wiring this together. This is not going to be an everyday driver. Just a fun toy.

Please help me. I have searched forever to find this and can not find anything on this.

BTW, the 96 was automatic so i obviously made it a 5spd....help me out please! Thanks

Your going to have to sort out your wiring harnesses. The 92 and 96 are a different series so some of the plugs and what not might not match up. If you used the same ecu and wiring harness out of the 92 your car should start up unless you messed up some of the wiring. Get a test light and check all the connections from the beginning of the circuit to ur starter and do the same for the fuel pump.
There are alot of guys on here willing to help, try using the search button and see if you can find anything. If not I'm sure someone else will chime in.

i have searched.....and i know that the 92 and 96 is differeny. i wanted to keep the det ecu. i had to wire the engine harness with the dash harness...there is a thread on the forum that tells you the wiring for both the 92 and 96. Thats what i went off of....now if that is wrong then i would have had that messed up. i have checked and checked my wiring to make sure i didnt mess it up.

I knew i would have to wire this thing up so its not gonna be a shocker to me.

thanks for chiming in sneaky

All help is greatly appreciated!
