fpr: Boosting over 20psi
I found a tomei fpr on ebay for a decent price but in the description they said it was only good for 20 pounds of boost. Any idea why??

TOMEI FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR TYPE-S 240SX,300ZX,SR20DE : eBay Motors (item 300383313842 end time Feb-02-10 08:47:45 PST)

edit: Sorry mods I should've put this in the turbo section.

It probably is not designed to handle that much pressure. If you're running 20 psi of boost the FPR has to deal with base pressure (43.5 psi) plus an additional 20 psi which would make for 60.5 psi. Maybe it's not designed to deal with fuel pressures higher than that.

I like the nismo but I also like having the guage attached to the fpr. Like the aeromotive. I was just curious, your explanation makes sense ben, thanks.

I purchased one of these recently the Pressure Adjustability is 2.0kgf/cm2~8.0kgf/cm2, which is 28.44psi - 113.76psi. This is less than the Nismo FPR which is 28.4psi - 85.2 psi. See links for info.

Tomei Universal Fuel Pressure Regulator Type S (Below 380 HP) [TO-185001] EDO Performance

Nismo Fuel Pressure Regulator Type-A

I know alot of guys use Nismo but I chose Tomei because of the higher fuel level, it already has a port for the FP gauge, and you can use both conventional rubber hoses and steel braided with ends...a couple tomei decals don hurt either .
