Thread: knock sensor??

Ok guys the yesterday i re did my harness on my bbu13 motor and noticed it was almost impossible to clip the knock sensor plug in so i tried driving the car around with the plug disconnected from the knock sensor and its acting kinda funny could the knock sensor cause this hesitation?

yup, most nissan ecu's will self-test the knock sensor, if its not found it assumes it is broken and puts the ECU into a retarded ignition mode to save the engine.

Yes. Not having a knock sensor plugged in will definitely cause hesitation for the very reason AJ4 posted above.
