I like useing both teflon tape and some liquid gasket. Never had a problem since. Just a dab and all is good.

Oh, and make sure you wrap the tape the right way. Wrap it wrong and its pointless cause your pushing it off as you thread the bolt/adapter/fitting.

dont use teflon tape, it can clog oil passages/lines.

use liquid teflon or pipe dope.

X3 used the liquid stuff when putting mine on.

I actually kept the adapter that goes into the block the same from what I had previously, which I know didn't leak. I'm thinking its from the adapter to the the braided line. I'll have to get under there with a light this weekend and pin point it exactly.

Use "Grease lighting". Use it to clean up the oil, and as its running spray it in the area of the leak. If oil is coming out, it will turn it purple. Thats how I find my oil leaks if I have them.
