Thread: Twin Disk Clutches?

If you guys come up with a proper twin disk for this setup i think i would gladly sell my p11 trans and twin disk i have now and just use that money to do the swap. I can come across the 04+ spec v trannies for around $250, then whatever the adapter costs and then mounts, axles, shifter w/ cables. I could probably come out about even plus the 6 speed would be awesome for daily driving. The 04 plus trans will top out at 192mph with a 23.5" tall tire. Rediculous. Crusing at 60mph at less than 2k rpm ftw. I could easily see well over 40 mpg in my turbo beast. haha

Ill be keeping up with mazworx's stuff and see how it goes.

^EDIT: Looks like they changed the gearing for better 1/4 mile times, but wouldn't that mean the gears would be shorter? Maybe they just made them shorter up front and the final driver longer?

^Must be a type-o in wiki . They said it changed in 03-06, but have it listed by 04-06 cars.

Since the P12 bellhousings are difficult to get most of the time, we have an adapter plate solution. It will utilize the QR bellhousing. You will send in your bellhouising for machining and we will send you the adapter plate to crossover the bolt patterns. The design is already done and I should have the first one out of the machine later this week. This is an alternative for those of you who don't want to wait on the P12 bellhousings. The first OEM type flywheel for the swap should be done by next week. We are going to test it out to make sure the measurements are correct and then put the twin disc in the works.

Any one have an idea what the 6 speed holds power wise?

sorry thats the part number for the CM twin disc, I was looking for the competition clutch twin disc... Thanks anyway though.

Again from what they said, all the twin disk clutches for our cars almost use CM parts.
