No seriously I want to hear how he has it hooked up wrong when it's t'd into the fpr which is hooked up to the manifold. I'm curious on this to see how its not getting any signal from the manifold.

I have a knockoff greddy type s which is brand new. I tried backing the screw on the bov out some, but it still does it. It may have more to go, but it feels like its pretty far out. The vacuum signal is t'ed into the fpr vacuum line. Is this signal too weak? If so, where do you suggest getting vacuum from? My boost gauge only shows boost, no vacuum so I really can't see what the bov is seeing. THanks

Reading > You

He states that his "BOV" is t'd off of the FPR. He then states that his boost gauge only shows boost and no vacuum. He does not say where his boost gauge is plumbed in nor does he clearly state that it is a boost only/no vacuum gauge.

When I made my first post I was refering to his boost gauge, and was stating that the "boost gauge" needed to be on manifold preasure to read vacuum. Nowhere did I mention anything even pertaining to his "BOV" not getting vacuum signal from the FPR line.

And to comment on what Vadim said, it is my understanding that the second nipple on the BOV is for assistance in keeping the valve shut under high boost levels. If you're running low boost, which you likely are, just do as Vadim said and remove one of the springs. Try that and let us know.

So your saying right here that where he has it t'd does not receive signal from manifold pressure?

Where in his first does he say that he has the boost gauge and BOV hooked up on the same line?

If I read right first thing I would do is give the fuel its own dedicated vacuum. Its too important for boosted apps to share at all.

Well, took out the big spring and just put the small spring in and it works well now. Boost still holds at 7~8 psi and I dont hear it surging anymore. Thanks guys.
