This is just like people saying not to boost 10:1 motors.

Agreed, people severely underestimate the VE internals. Most of them just based on appearance. There is more to the strength of metal than just dimensions.

Cheap way is DET rods and pistons just for extra piece of mind but the stcok ve stuff will be okay but for how long is the question I would ask. For you I would just boost the ve and have the best of both worlds.

If you keep the tune (KEY WORD TUNE) conservative the VE will last. I know a handful of people with boosted VE's that are doing just fine.

I built the least powerful SR20 I know how to build and it came out with 300+ WHP. That's the bottom of the barrel as far as I'm concerned.

A VE can make and hold 300 whp easily. If tuned right.

Right. So it can make low amounts of power on stock internals. That's what I said.

Some people misunderstand others definitions of low power. To a lot of people 300whp out of a VE isnt low power because they have this mentality that the VE has tissue paper internals lol

I just turbocharged my VE. Running very low boost, but a turbo upgrade is in the future, Holding up great so far at 7-8PSI.

I just don't want people to be scared of boosting a VE. It can be done and they can make great power with stock internals.

just keep the boost low. so if you wanna make 400 do it all day long. get a gt35r and run it at like 12-15psi..

as long as you keep the pressures low the tq will stay down and thats what will kill the bottom end.
