do the gtir share the same flange as the det? also are the butterflies removable like in the gsr integra manifolds?

from my understanding, no.....its head specific. exaust is the same, but to use a gtir itb setup on a det/de you have to alter the flange. from what i understand.

i see, yeah i never got into the gtir much, so not my cup of tea, its a shame that the engine isnt more popular with more application specific parts, but hey take what u can get i guess

the quads are honestly no big deal, you should try and get your hands on one one day

gtir engines are ten a penny over here, which is why i guess i find it strange when you guys say they're rare parts for them aren't really a problem, you just need to know where to look

If I ever go back to boost on Any SR setup I most likely will use a GTiR motor. My last GTiR setup was doing well over 500whp, maybe even close to 600whp at 27-28psi and was running like that for months. Never had any problems until an over rev miss shift killed it. that thing lasted over 60,000 miles at 400+ and never skipped a beat. the sleeves were in excellent shape and so were the pistons. she still had great ring seal.

Tuning makes a lot of power on any setup, and you can get a lot from a turbo setup, but it can kill your motor just as easy. I have seen t25 guys blow their motors up the day they get them running because they didnt time the motor and had 28 deg initial timing and trying to run 20psi through a T25.

wow.....sounds like some serious potential. guess i just got to suck it up and do this thing.....
