unless you get that metal Wolverine's claws are mare out of, lol... Sorry to hear this bro, but basically you will have to buy your trannies in BULK.

P.S. got you PM from the other forum, thanks for the tracking #.

^That's what I was thinking of doing so that the tranny would last a long a** time.

I have been lucky i guess. I shredded my first 3rd gear just a couple weeks ago after 4 months of hard hard abuse on it. But on street tires on low boost i would still just blow the tires off so it didnt put a whole lot of stress on the gear, I did about 6 passes on it as well. But yeah if you romp on 3rd gear its gonna break, definetly make sure you get the right trans this time around.

^Was it a 00-02?

I don't care who you are or how long you been driving you will never out shift a automatic.

Chris.

^The Supra guys making 1000+ usually run auto trannies. They hold up well with the 2Jz's. It's very common in the IS community.

You want a 00-02 P11 manual transmission. It will handle the torque (you might start to find the limits of the axle splines though). It's a lot cheaper than making an automatic handle the power.

Then think about running less boost in the lower rpm range.

Just find your self a 50A with an SR bell housing, I still have not seen anyone try one of these in a B13 or B14. I ran mid 11's in my heavy ass Altima with the 50A KA bell housing same as the Sr20 .

What are you tuning this car with? I know the AEM boost per MPH function works amazing.

I thinkfred casey(drag car in 10's) use to run a b13 trans and he did just fine. I think it was shoot peened and that but it still had a lot of passes on it and was still good.
